Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the services of CleverReach to manage our mailing list and send our updates.

  • Service Provider: CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Schafjückenweg 2, 26180 Rastede, Germany.

  • Data Processed: To receive our newsletter, you must provide your email address. Additional data (such as your name) may be collected on a voluntary basis to personalize our communications.

  • Purpose and Legal Basis: We process this data for the purpose of sending you the journal updates you requested. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / UK GDPR). We use a "Double Opt-In" process to ensure that you are the actual owner of the email address provided.

  • Performance Tracking: Our newsletters sent via CleverReach contain "tracking pixels." These allow us to see if an email was opened and which links were clicked. This data is used to analyze the success of our campaigns and improve the relevance of our content for our readers.

  • Data Storage and Security: Your data is stored on secure servers located within the European Union (Germany). We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with CleverReach to ensure they protect your data in accordance with strict data protection standards.

  • Your Rights (Unsubscribing): You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time. Every newsletter contains an "unsubscribe" link in the footer. Alternatively, you can contact us at info@neuroconverse.org to be removed from the list. Once you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted from our active mailing list within 30 days, unless further retention is required for legal documentation purposes.
